Artist Christopher Wheat Painting at Brant point Nantucket September 2010
I just got back from a beautiful Fall painting trip to Nantucket. September on Nantucket, it never seems to disappoint, an extended Summer with the slower pace, really helped me get in to my work on this trip. With 7 days perfect weather I logged in many hours of painting as I had the opportunity to paint every day on location. My 2 favorite days were spent at Brant Point Light house at the entrance of the Harbor. Yes, sun screen in September was as important as the brushes, paint and easel. I was also able to work on a few custom paintings and few Island views that I have wanted to complete for my website, See them at
