The Path to Great Point Lighthouse, artist Christopher Wheat
There is nothing like the beauty the perfect summer day out at the tip of Great Point on Nantucket island, The Nantucket Sound as brilliant blue as the eye could imagine with white sandy dunes and sea grass swaying in the soft summer breezes of the salty air that just takes your breath away. You look down the sandy path and you see the majestic view of Great Point Light... the bright white light that guides the great sailing ships around the point to safe harbors. This past summer I started the painting and recently finished the 18 x24 canvas.
